Summary: Vegeta

Summary of Vegeta:

Vegeta is the proud prince of the Saiyans. From when he was very young, he was called a genius at fighting due to his very high power level. When Freeza destroyed Planet Vegeta, Vegeta was one of the Saiyans that Freeza didn't kill. Even after the destruction of his home planet, Vegeta kept working under Freeza, waiting for the day when he'll finally be strong enough to defeat Freeza and become the new ruler of the universe. After his fellow Saiyan Raditz is killed by a "low class Saiyan" named Kakarotto, and when he hears about the Dragonballs, Vegeta decides to come to Earth along with his partner Nappa to get the Dragonballs and get them eternal life. On Earth, after seeing Piccolo, Vegeta figures out that the Namecks were the ones that makes the Dragonballs, and that there'll be a more powerful Dragonball on Nameck. During the battle on Earth, Vegeta shows just how cruel he could be by killing Nappa when Nappa is crippled by Goku. After losing the fight to Goku, Gohan, and Kulilin, Vegeta retreats. Back at his base on Planet Freeza #79, he learns that Freeza had already learned about the Dragonballs and has gone to Planet Nameck to collect them. Wanting the Eternal Wish for himself instead of Freeza, Vegeta goes off to Nameck to get the Dragonballs before Freeza could. On Nameck, due to an unusual twist of events, Vegeta finds himself fighting on the same side as the Earthlings, Gohan and Kulilin, against Freeza and his men. They are all almost killed by Recoom of the Ginyu Force but Goku comes to help. Here, upon seeing Goku's incredible new power, Vegeta realizes that Goku is close to becoming a Super Saiyan. Later on, after a long battle with Freeza, Vegeta is killed by Freeza. His last words were pleas for Goku to become a Super Saiyan and defeat Freeza, who had killed all of the Saiyans but them. Goku later, as we all know, will become a Super Saiyan and defeat Freeza. Now, when Earth's Dragonballs were used to bring back to life everyone killed by Freeza and his men, Vegeta is also brought back to life. Vegeta hears about Goku becoming a Super Saiyan, and he vows that some day he'll defeat Kakarotto. After being shocked even more by the appearance of another Super Saiyan, Trunks, who we will later learn is Vegeta's son from the future, Vegeta starts training extremely hard under 300X and 400X gravity at Capsule Corporation. This is around when him and Bulma gets hooked up. After all this training, Vegeta finally becomes a Super Saiyan. He plays an important role all throughout the fight with the Artificial Humans. He still haven't yet become a good guy yet though. Whenever he saves Goku, he always says "I'm only saving you now Kakarotto, so that I can kill you later!". After training with Trunks in the Room of Spirit and Time, Vegeta almost defeats Cell, but him being a Saiyan, he lets Cell go so that Cell can become stronger. (Saiyans always wants to fight a stronger opponent.) After the death of Goku and the defeat of Cell by the incredibly strong Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, Vegeta vows never to fight again. 7 years passes. Even thought he haven't fought, Vegeta still had been training, and he is now also a Super Saiyan 2. Vegeta had married Bulma, and is still living at Capsule Corp. When Goku comes back to the living world for 24 hours, Vegeta gets an urge to fight Kakarotto once again and beat him this time. And the prospect of becoming stronger allows Vegeta to be possessed by the evil sorceror Babidi, and Vegeta becomes Majin-Vegeta. (This is when he gets that M on his forehead) While fighting Goku in this form, the energy from their fight reincarnates Majin-Buu, the ultimate evil. In fighting Buu, Vegeta fights to save Earth and Bulma & Trunks. This is the first time he actually fought for someone other than himself. To defeat Buu, Vegeta self-destructs on Buu, blowing Buu to bits. This is where Vegeta dies once again, and it turns out Buu can regenerate, so Vegeta dies and Buu lives. Vegeta is sent to hell for all the innocent people that he killed, and he spends a while down in there. Later, King Enma asks Vegeta to go back to the living world to help defeat Buu, and Vegeta agrees to go. Upon returning to the living world, Vegeta meets Goku, who had come back to life thanks to the Dai-Kaiohshin. Vegeta and Goku fuses using the Potara earrings and they become Vegetto, and they fight Buu. Later, after unfusing, Vegeta is brought back to life by the Nameck Dragonballs, and Vegeta helps Goku defeat Buu by giving him the idea to use a full power Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb) on Buu. At the end of Dragonball Z, Vegeta has finally become a good guy, and also has a second kid: a daughter named Bra. In Dragonball GT, Vegeta also plays an important role, but I haven't seen DBGT before, so we'll just skip that.
