Summary of Gohan:

Gohan is the first son of Goku and Chichi. Even as a young child, he displayed a very high power level, and in the fight against Raditz, it was thanks to Gohan injuring Raditz that Goku and Piccolo were able to defeat him. After the fight with Raditz, to prepare for the future fight with the Saiyans, Piccolo took Gohan and trained him for a year. The first half being wilderness survival and the second half being actual fighting. During this 1 year, Gohan comes to respect and love Piccolo... something noone else had been able to do before. In the fight against the Saiyans, Gohan was at first very scared and didn't do much, but later he fought Nappa in the attempt to let Piccolo escape. When Nappa attempted to kill Gohan, Piccolo got in the way and protected Gohan, and Piccolo died instead. Later in the fight, Gohan and Kulilin helps out Goku and they are able to beat Vegeta. After the fight with the Saiyans, Gohan goes along with Kulilin and Bulma to Planet Nameck so that he can get the Dragonballs and wish Piccolo back. After saving Dende and stealing one of Vegeta's Dragonballs, Gohan goes to meet the Eldest Nameck, who releases some of Gohan's hidden powers, making him much stronger. Then upon learning about the Ginyu Force, Gohan and Kulilin join forces with Vegeta in an attempt to defeat the Ginyu Force. They manage to kill Gurudo, but they are all beaten by Recoom, and Gohan, who fought especially hard against Recoom almost dies, but Goku arrives just in time and saves them all. When Captain Ginyu takes over Goku's body, Gohan fights against Ginyu in Goku's body. Later, while Vegeta is taking a nap, Gohan and Kulilin are successful in summoning the Nameck Dragon with the help of Dende and in bringing back Piccolo and then teleporting him to Nameck. Then Freeza shows up, and Gohan, Kulilin, and Vegeta are forced to fight against him. They all fight hard, and with the help of Piccolo, they somehow manage to survive until Goku comes to help. Then they just watch from afar as Goku fights Freeza. When Goku turns SSJ, Gohan takes the injured Piccolo with him to Goku's spaceship. Later, Gohan is teleported by the Nameck Dragon, along with everyone else except for Goku and Freeza, back to Earth. There, they eventually learn from the Kaioh (King Kai) that Goku beats Freeza. Then a few years pass. Freeza comes to Earth for revenge, but is killed by Trunks, and Goku comes back. Then in preparation for the Artificial Humans, Gohan trains with Goku and Piccolo for 3 years. During the fight with the Artificial Humans, Gohan doesn't play much of a role. But with the appearance of Cell, Gohan goes with Goku into the Room of Spirit and Time to train. In the Room of Spirit and Time, Gohan becomes a Super Saiyan. After coming out of the room, Goku gets Dende (whom Gohan had become friends with on Nameck) to become the new Kami of Earth, and Goku tells Gohan to just play around with Dende until the Cell Game, of which he does. During the Cell Game, after Goku fights, Gohan fights Cell. Not wanting to fight, Gohan tries to talk Cell out of fighting, but Cell instead starts to make Gohan mad so that Gohan will show his true power. Cell makes 7 Cell Jr's who all beat up on Gohan's allies. When Artificial Human #16 talks to Gohan and tells him that it's ok to fight, and then Cell steps on #16's head and smashes it, Gohan snaps, and turns into a Super Saiyan 2. With an incredible power, Gohan quickly kills all 7 Cell Jr's, and then starts pounding on Cell. When Cell tries to blow up Earth with a Full Power Kamehameha, Gohan simply counters with a bigger Kamehameha and badly injures Cell. But when Goku yells at Gohan to finish Cell off, Gohan refuses, saying that a guy like Cell needs to suffer more. This will prove to be a fatal mistake. Cell regenerates, and starts to fight Gohan again. When Gohan kicks Cell very hard, Cell throws up Artificial Human #18, and degenerate back to his 2nd form, no longer becoming perfect. Knowing that he can't lose, Cell decides to self destruct, and Goku gives his life to save Earth. But Cell comes back because by luck he was able to regenerate. Trunks is killed, and Vegeta loses it and tries to fight Cell. When Cell tries to finish off Vegeta, Gohan takes the blow, and injures his arm. Cell then powers up for a Full Power Kamehameha. With only once arm, Gohan struggles in countering Cell's Kamehameha, but with the help of Goku talking to him from the afterlife and the distraction that Vegeta caused, Gohan is able to kill Cell with his own Full Power Kamehameha. From this point, for a bit, with Goku dead, Gohan becomes the new main character of DBZ. 7 years passes since the Cell Game. With everything being so peaceful, Gohan has been slacking off in training, and he is no longer as strong as he used to be. Gohan is now attending the Orange Star Highschool in Satan City, where he meets Videl, the daughter of Mr Satan, who is now a worldwide hero, since he took the credit for defeating Cell. Wanting to be both a normal student and the city's guardian superhero, Gohan asks Bulma to make him a disguise, and Gohan becomes the Hero of Justice, Great Saiyaman. Everyone thinks that his outfit is corny, except for Gohan himself and Gohan's little brother Goten, who was born right after Goku's death. Unfortunately for Gohan, his Great Saiyaman disguise is quickly figured out by Videl, due to Gohan's whiny voice. Videl then blackmails Gohan to enter the next Tenka-Ichi Budoukai (World's Strongest Martial Arts Meet). When Gohan was talking to Bulma and Vegeta about the tournament, Goku talks to them from the afterlife and tells them that he's coming back for 24 hours on the day of the tournament. At the tournament, Gohan, along with all the other warriors meet Kaiohshin and his assistant Kibito, and he learns about Babidi's evil plans. Gohan goes with Goku and Vegeta and Kaiohshin to try to stop the reincarnation of Buu. And while Goku and Vegeta fights, Gohan fights Darbura, Babidi's right hand man and the King of the Devil World, and Kaiohshin tries to stop Babidi, but it is too late. Buu is about to be reincarnated. Gohan blasts the ball that Buu was sealed in with a Kamehameha, but it is useless, as Buu comes out. Gohan and Kaiohshin are both badly injured by Buu, but both are saved by Kibito and his power to heal. (Here, Vegeta thinks that Gohan is dead, and eventually so does everyone else) Kaiohshin decides to take Gohan to his world and have Gohan try to pull out the Zed Sword. The legends says that whoever that pulls out the Zed Sword will become the ultimate warrior. So Gohan tries, and he does pull out the Zed Sword. Then Gohan starts training to learn to use the Zed Sword. When Goku shows up in Kaiohshin's world, Goku asks Gohan to test the Zed Sword by throwing the world's hardest metal, the Katchin Alloy at it. He does, and when Gohan swings at it, the Zed Sword breaks in half. This just happened to release the Kaiohshin from 15 generation ago, who had been sealed away in the Zed Sword. The grandpa Kaiohshin, or Dai-Kaiohshin, with some bribing from Goku that has to do with Bulma, the Dai-Kaiohshin agrees to use his powers to power up Gohan and make him the ultimate warrior. But this ritual takes 25 hours. So Gohan has to just sit for 25 hours while this "power up ritual" goes on... but all it seems like is the Dai-Kaiohshin is just reading a comic book. Eventually Gohan gets mad and he yells, and this causes a big power surge. Realizing that he really is becoming stronger, Gohan apologizes to the Dai-Kaiohshin and sits tight through the remainder of the ritual while on Earth, Gotenks fought Buu. When the ritual was done, Gohan, now the ultimate warrior, goes back to Earth to defeat Buu. At first, Gohan is dominating, but when Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo, Gohan starts getting whupped bad. When Goku comes to help and throws Gohan the Potara to put on, Gohan drops the Potara and ends up having to look for it. When he does find it though, he is absorbed by Buu. Later, when he is rescued by Goku, Gohan, along with Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks are killed when Buu blows up Earth and Goku couldn't get to them in time to teleport with them. When they are later brought back to life by the Nameck DB's, they lend their energy to Goku for the Full Power Super Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb), which kills Buu. After the Buu ordeal, Gohan finishes High School and eventuall will marry Videl, and have a daughter named Pan, who is one of the main characters in Dragonball GT.
